If you ask any blogger about the importance of branding for the successful online business, you will definitely get a positive reply. Branding is very important nowadays as many are actually selling their own name instead of the product or anything else. If you want to read more about the importance of the branding then check out one of my older posts here.

But if you already know about the importance of branding and have some effective methods of promoting your name and face then I’m going to give you another great tool for the effective branding. It is intended for WordPress bloggers only as WP is one of the most recommended blogger softwares at the present.

So, as the title of this post says, it is the WordPress login screen logo that can have a great effect on your branding. if you are a WrodPress user then you already know how this login screen looks like, but perhaps have never thought of changing it to your own logo. Many bloggers present access to their blogs for the guest bloggers and the latter use the same login screen in order to access the blog.

And if you use your blog’s logo as a login screen logo then it will be a powerful advantage towards your branding.

Let’s see how we can change that. You need to have your own logo ready first. There are several requirements for the logo file which are shown below:

  • It should be a .gif file
  • Logo should have a transparent background
  • The size must be 310×70 pixels
  • And the title of the file must be logo-login.gif

Remember that you should have a FTP access to the root of your blog in order to be able to upload the desired logo file.

Login to your blog with FTP and find the folder wp-admin/images.Locate logo-login.gif file and copy it to the safe place, you may need to restore it. Now, upload your own logo-login.gif to the same folder and refresh your login page.

That’s it, you should have your own logo above the login box.

Use your own logo for better branding of your blog.

I’d love to hear your comments below.

Hi Togrul,

I agree, the simple change in logo can have a greater impact in building a personal brand. Even the favicon is very important. That's a clear and easy tutorial by the way. :)
